Training Information
What classes does A Better
Pet offer?
We offer a variety of classes to meet each dog owner’s needs and wants. Private lessons at your home, onsite
private lessons here at the kennels, semi private lessons, group lessons, and
board & train.
What type of training methods do you use?
Just as no two people are exactly alike, neither are any two dogs. We do not
believe in forcing a dog to conform to a certain training style (eg. Clicker,
choke chains, halti’s, etc). At “A Better Pet”, we utilize a variety of methods
to assist both you and your dog in achieving your goals. Together with your
trainer, we will find what works the best for you and your pet. Our goal is to
keep the training positive and fun for both of you, while achieving the desired
results.
What classes should I sign up to do with my dog?
When you contact A Better Pet, we will set up a free consultation with you and
your dog to help you decide what classes meet your needs. This allows you and
your pet to meet the trainer and see if you are comfortable working together.
The consultation appointment lasts about 30 minutes and can take place either at
our kennels or at your home.
What does my dog learn in your classes?
We will work on basic obedience skills for you and your dog. Your dog is not the
only one going to class. Our goal is to have a polite, happy dog by your side
when you are finished with your training. If you have troubling issues to work
on, we can also help you with those as well. If you wish to continue with your
training, we can proceed to advanced obedience, off leash work, and specialty
training.
How much are your classes?
Starting at just $24.75 per session - see Classes for details!
